In surgical or plastic surgical interventions it is advisable to start Sensolite therapy already before suture removal as the polarized light enhances consolidation of the surgical region and surgical wound. The surgical wound is cured more rapidly with light therapy than without it and thanks to this therapy the condition of the scar will be better in aesthetic terms, but polarized light also reduces keloid formation.
Haematomas (blue, green, lilac patches) may occur after various plastic interventions (operation, injectable treatments) at the site of the intervention the absorption of which is markedly accelerated by Sensolite. Many times after the intervention, swelling or fluid accumulation may occur that can be prevented by polarized light therapy and the absorption of the lesions can be enhanced significantly.
After radical or less radical exfoliation, peeling of the skin, the regeneration of the skin surface can be enhanced and scar formation during the healing process can be prevented by light treatment.
Any surgical intervention is associated with significant trauma for the body, particularly in the environment of the surgical area. Thus, on the day after suture removal whole-body polarized light treatment can and is advisable to be started to achieve faster recovery of the body and the surgical region; polarized light provides energy for the patient; his/her mood, well-being, circulation, oxygen supply of cells are improved. Thanks to this the postoperative regeneration and recovery of patient can be significantly accelerated.
After the intervention victims suffer from physical pains as well as from the feeling of uncertainty – what will happen? how long will it take to recover? what is waiting for me? – they may get into an existential crisis. Experience shows that the analgesic, calming, muscle-relaxant effect of polarized light may help with treating these fears and, moreover, the faster than expected improvement may provide the feeling of success.
I. Doctor’s opinion
“It is often a challenge how to shorten the rehabilitation of patients after surgeries, fractures or more serious injuries. Experience shows that whole-body polarized light therapy is able to improve several functions: it enhances joint movements, accelerates wound-healing and significantly reduces the pain of patient. The recovery period can be significantly reduced even in the case of patients with plaster cast, since the fixing cover is not an obstacle for Sensolite; the effects of the light are exerted even through the plaster cast. We can also assist the work of physiotherapists as they often mention in their feedback that they can move patients much better after light therapy because their joints are not so stiff. The muscle tone of patients is recovered more rapidly. My 44-year-old male patient suffered from the fracture of infra-condylar tibia intruding into the joint and he required surgery. He was informed that in such cases rehabilitation may be prolonged, it can even exceed 6 months, but he wanted to make every effort for more rapid recovery. He started Sensolite therapy and received treatments almost every day in the first period and 2-3 days a week from the second month on. Light therapy accelerated the recovery of the wound as well as the fracture and by Month 3 his joints regained their full movements range, he could load his knee and his pain was minimised.” Dr Cyprián Békési, orthopaedic surgeon, chief physician
II. Patients’ experience
“Few months ago my immune system became suppressed, I was weaker. I could hardly stay awake from 9 a.m. till 7 p.m. My mood was very low. Sometime later the dermatologist found three moles that had to be surgically removed as they were cancerous. Then I started Sensolite therapy. After five sessions I started to regain my strength and well-being and after the fifteenth treatment the – otherwise unaesthetic – surgical scars showed notable improvement. Now I support and recommend Sensolite therapy.” B. B.
“15 years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. The tumour could be removed but my left breast remained incomplete, unaesthetic. I am over 50 years and I felt I deserved to feel as a woman, so I had another surgery. The missing part of the breast was replaced with a section of my back muscles. I always lived an active life: I did sports, went on excursions, I had company but after the surgery I felt lonely. I was also impatient as my recovery was slower than I expected and disability associated with the surgery almost paralysed my life. My daughter persuaded me to start the therapy, although at first I did not believe in it. Now I have 15 sessions behind me and I will have another 10, and I believe I will recover completely. I regained my exhilaration – I got a lot of help and support from Gyógycentrum (Medical Centre) as they always cared for me and encouraged me – now I do sports again (carefully, of course) and my doctor always praises me during follow-up visits. I do not know how my life would have gone without Sensolite but with this therapy I managed to recover.” K.T.
III. Therapeutic recommendation
Packages have been compiled based on our significant experience, although scientific research is not available yet. The therapeutic option of Sensolite light bed is recommended as an ADJUVANT (SUPPLEMENTARY) treatment IN ADDITION TO traditional medicine and NOT INSTEAD OF IT.
It is not uncommon that light therapy improves the patient’s condition so much that the treating physician considerably reduces or discontinues drug therapy based on various test results.
Weekly therapeutic recommendation after the day of suture removal
|Week 1||Week 2||Week 3||Week 4||Week 5||Week 6||Week 7|
Our “maintenance package” is recommended for patients who underwent at least one course of therapy in the Sensolite Gyógycentrum and who want to receive another treatment course to further enhance their recovery and to maintain the results they have already achieved.

Please, contact the nearest Sensolite Gyógycentrum for current package prices.
The treatment frequency recommended by us provides results but if our Patient feels that he/she wants to use Sensolite light therapy more frequently, he/she has the possibility to do so after consultation in the Gyógycentrum. However, please note that the energizing effect of light therapy sometimes speeds up the body, thus excessive light treatment may cause sleep problems. Additionally, in such cases light therapy is recommended in the morning instead of evening before bedtime. If you should be active in the evening or at night, it is recommended to come to the Sensolite Gyógycentrum before your activity.
